Lifestyle Photography- Playground

I honestly can’t believe my daughter is 18 months old– 19 months in fact! I’m not sure when this happened! I am planning to do an “18 month” shoot for her in the next week, however I just loved these images and wanted to share! She is the light in my life. She makes me laugh and cry on a daily basis…. I am SO blessed to be this silly, sassy girl’s mommy! Man, oh man am I counting down the days until her Daddy can experience this in person! Not too much longer now.:)

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Senior Portraits

Meet Kayleigh!:)I met her and her family last year when I did their family session. Actually her mom and I have mutual friends and we were also at a retreat together a few months ago! Kayleigh is just ridiculously, naturally beautiful. She has a gorgeous, gorgeous smile- and I will keep telling her that because it’s true! I love it! I had to get this girl laughing to get that smile out, but we got it! Flaunt that smile girl. To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself. ~Thich Nhat Hanh

Part two of her session to come!

Kayleigh,
I am so proud of you. These gorgeous pictures capture your beauty. God sees who we are on the inside. He loves us no matter what, just like I do but better. The camera has a harder time with that part. Truly a gorgeous young woman has been captured magnificently. I love to see you smile. The close ups of your eyes are amazing. Those are the ones I like the best. I love you!

Love, dad

Beach Family Photography

Wow I love this session! Moana came to me with not much time to plan, but I’m so happy to have had the chance to work with this family and now be able to share this beautiful family with you all. Little Mister Jameson is SO handsome and happy and just made my job a BREEZE! He also just loves to eat sand much to Daddy’s dismay, which sorry, gives me a giggle;)! Thank you, T family, for being such troopers in the heat and the long walks! I hope you love your images!!

Lifestyle Maternity Session

How cute is this family??:)I feel like I say that a lot! Oh well. They’re cute, what else can I say? I had a session with them last winter and I LOVED meeting them. Everything was so relaxed and laid back…. I was SO happy to hear they were expecting #2 and I could come back to their house and get some more time with this lovely family in front of my camera! Their daughter Miyu is perfectly sweet and Makiko is just BEAUTIFUL and radiant like every expecting mother should be!

Wedding Portraits

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing with you my recent wedding experience, and a few of the resulting images! Now, if you don’t know anything about me, I am normally a portrait photographer. My comfort zone is families, babies, couples and individuals.. You know.. Everyday people, everyday life. I love it. But when Janelle came to me and asked me to do her wedding, I couldn’t say no! (Okay, so mayyyyybe I said no.. But something changed my mind, and here I was shooting my very first wedding!) All in all, I absolutely loved this day! Shooting a wedding was everything I thought it would be.. Exciting, nerve-wracking, tiring, fun!… There were some BEAUTIFUL moments, and I’m glad I was there to share them and capture them. (I think I am too emotional for this job!!! I cried twice before the ceremony even ended!<3 <3) Anyway, enjoy these images! As a photographer, my favorite part of this wedding was 1. getting the couple away to do this session and seeing them relax after the ceremony 2. seeing them get down and dirty on the dance floor! This family was so fun!

What is your favorite part of a wedding?

Janelle looks so gorgeous! Great job Megan, the images are beautiful :] I was just in your shoes and boy are weddings surprisingly exhausting. Looks like you nailed it though, congrats!
